Patti is simply amazing... someone who knows the system, and knows her body, and knows how to negotiate for what she needs: the problem for the rest of us is, we have to know the system, be really informed about health and our bodies, and be well enough to negotiate/ask for what we need.

Lovely, well put. This helps me to understand a little better what you (and others with chronic pain) have been going through.

Persistent pain is often an isolating experience. How wonderful that there is the Chronic Pain Support Group of Southern Maine for individuals to support each other and share their experiences. Thanks for reaching out to the rest of us through the Hear/Tell series and giving us a glimpse into this very pertinent public health crisis.

Sue Gold has been my metor in my life living with Chronic Pain. I started going to her Chronic Pain Support Group back in 2000. She has a way or looking at the world in a possitive way when things get ruff. I have taken this way of thinking in my life and have made it one of my goals to change negitve feels into positve ones. Thank you Sue for changing my path of life when I needed that new direction! You are a very compationate person to people with Chronic Pain.
Take care,Ernie.
