Emma White

Emma joined the lab in the 2017 summer, starting her MS work with Bobolinks.  Her thesis integrates field and molecular work–exploring how true paternity and maternity influence survival and natal dispersal in Bobolinks.  Emma, originally from Shoreline, Washington, earned her BA in Biology from Occidental College; she has tons of field experience ranging from prairie dog work in New Mexico to Red-backed Fairy-wrens in Australia to mangrove birds in Tanzania.  Emma is jointly advised by Steven Travis, Biology.
